All things Squidoo

What a fantastic place Squidoo is - especially for early risers like me who tend to not go for the bed rest option when we're sick (which I am, and also on the recovery runway - thank you very much).

I've been making Squidoo lenses for a new weight loss program that I've been researching (I know, I know, but it just so happens that THIS one actually delivers what is says it can).

I five lenses in a fairly short period (they're listed in the LINKS section on the right side of this page) and I intend to do a LOT more on other topics. I love Squidoo, it rocks, it kicks, it has the shazam...you get the idea.

Now here I am, at 3:52 AM pecking away at this while rolling around new ideas in my head for new lenses.

Pretty damn snappy and not hard to do at all.

I also put up a lens called the Iron Man's Son. This is my story - in short form. :)

The Iron Man's Son

I'll have more lenses coming online in the next few weeks and will post them here along with some very cool info on how YOU could do the same thing. There are some folks on Squidoo who provide phenomenal insight on how to build a great lens - it is such a helpful place. :)

Cheers,
Pat

  1. Pat, you are only too correct. Here's the kicker, a lot of business owners still don't really know enough about what the core nature of SEO entails to be able to understand it.

I have to "dummy it down" for most of my clients or they act like I'm speaking Greek explaining fundamental SEO.

We are talking about CEO's & highly educated individuals who understand, say, Six Sigma Process Capabilities, but cannot grasp how a KEI interpretation works.

The other part of that is SEO and "SMO", Social Media Optimization, requires severe organizational skills and sheer volumes of man hours to be effective.

My clients, even if they know how to use all of the social media marketing tools that are available, simply do not have the TIME to do it right.

But hey, that's why we still have paying clients in a down-turned economy. People still have to promote their businesses and we know how to do it head and shoulders above the rest (that's pretty cool).

I think the social media craze rocks! It's fun. It's entertaining and informative. I enjoy the people I interact with.

In the end when you see your work all connected and flying all over the Internet highlighting your clients...they are VERY happy with the results...and "you" are very satisfied.

Nice blog, Pat. Thanks for letting me vent.
